About Crystal Palace FC :
Although they are not considered to be one of the big names in the English Premier League, Crystal Palace FC has a big tradition in English football. The team was established in South London in 1905 at the local historic landmark - "The Crystal Palace" and is named after the building that hosted the first global exhibition of industry products back in 1851.

Wearing uniforms with vertical red and blue stripes, similar to FC Barcelona, palace plays in Selhurst park who has a capacity of only 26,255 seats and is located in the South Norwood district, in South East London.

The team nickname is "The Eagles" which is inspired by the Portuguese club SL Benfica and the eagle is also shown in Crystal Palace FC team logo.

The glory years of Crystal Palace were in the early 90's when they finished the league in third place (1991) and played in the FA cup final (1990) losing 0:1 to Manchester United in a rematch, after drawing 3:3 in the first game.

Crystal Palace has a few rival teams like South East London neighbors Millwall and Charlton Athletic, but also with Brighton & Hove Albion.
